The Challenge
The client was manually creating pictorial quotes from Sage invoices, requiring them to copy product codes, look up each item in Shopify to find images, match finish types, and format everything into Excel templates. This process was extremely time-consuming and prone to errors, especially with invoices containing 50+ line items.
Our Solution
We built an AI-powered web application using GPT-4 Vision that automatically extracts all invoice data from PDF documents. The system integrates with Shopify to automatically look up product images by SKU and intelligently matches finish codes to retrieve finish swatch images from Shopify metaobjects. It then populates a branded Excel template with all product details, images, and customer information.
